Mugly's first mugs will hit our online store this month (March 2018). We can't wait to share them with you!
Our first run of limited edition, collectible, mugs will feature a beautiful 'Hops' design by Lizzie Harper, with the reverse displaying the latin words for hops, expertly designed and drawn by Jesse Eve Watkins. Both artists are based locally to Hay-on-Wye.
So what's the idea behind Mugly?
The idea of Mugly mugs is that our designs will appeal to our passions and interests - whether that's beer, tattoos, nature, gardening, or something else. Designs in the pipeline at Mugly include a 'Hay-on-Wye' themed mug, a seahorse tribal/tattoo design and fungi-themed botanical art. Each mug will be a collaboration with a talented artist or two, and include a base print on the mug too. Many will feature other details - such as a decorated handle or a print inside. The fine bone china and screen printing on the mugs are premium quality, which is why they take several weeks to create from concept to product and are priced to reflect how carefully they are created and to acknowledge the skills and talents of the artists involved. If you have a particular passion that you'd like to see on a mug, do contact us via our Instagram @yourfavouritemug. We'd be pleased to hear your ideas for our artists.
